Deiva Thirumagal nominated in Asia Pacific Awards

Chiyaan Vikram's 'Deiva Thirumagal' is receiving many accolades from critics, the common and those in the industry, who all are left quite emotional and teary after watching this film.

The film portrays a legal battle by a mentally challenged Vikram to reunite with his five year old daughter, Nila.

This film that successfully took many down their memory lane has been nominated as India's entry for Asia Pacific Awards which will be held at Brisbane, Australia in November 2011, by Film Federation of India and NFDC.

It was sent by the producer of the film for the awards. This is quite an honourable achievement right after a few days of release…

Simbu in Hindi remake of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya

There was a buzz that STR aka Silambarasan would do a guest role, that of an actor, in the Hindi remake of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya , which is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. But the director has denied any such idea.

“It is not true,” was Gautham s answer when he was asked whether Simbu would bee seen in the film, tentatively titled Prema Katha . He has also hinted that Prema Katha may not be the title of the movie.

This is third time for Gautham to direct the same script, as he was twice successfully already in Tamil and Telugu ( Ye Maya Chesave ). And Simbu made a guest appearance in the Telugu version, which had Naga Chaitanya and Samantha in the lead.

Meanwhile, Gautham is happy about joining hands with Vijay for Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru . “They were planning to work together for a long time and things have finally taken a shape now,” say sources close to him.

Dhanush soon visit the Lord Ayyappan temple

Like father-in-law, like son-in-law , you should say, when it comes to Dhanush. The National Award winning actor is as spiritual as the Superstar is and all his messages on his microblogging page end with the words God bless.

A regular visitor to temples, an avid reader of books related to spirituality, Dhanush is now wearing maalai for Sabarimalai. “He would soon visit the Lord Ayyappan temple to offer his prayers,” say sources.

Confirming this, Dhanush says, “Yes, a wish of mine has been fulfilled thanks to the Almighty. So I am going to convey my gratitude to Him in person. I am eagerly looking forward for my Sabarimalai trip.”

A couple of days ago, the actor spent his birthday on the muhurat of his forthcoming film, which is to be directed by wife Aishwarya. “It is going to be a wholesome entertainer which will be a real treat to the audience,” he says.

Oosaravelli progressing in Hyderabad temple

Young Tiger NT Rama Rao is presently taking part in the shooting of Oosaravelli and the schedule is progressing at Sanghi temple in Hyderabad. The film unit is shooting a homam scene on NTR, Jayaprakash Reddy and others.

A special set was erected for the purpose inside the temple premises. Tamanna is playing the female lead opposite NTR.

It is learnt that Tamanna is playing the role of a memory loss patient and NTR used to safeguard her.

(On the lines of Simhadri with Bhumika). Director Surender Reddy penned a storyline which contains the hero not only depends on his physical strength but also uses his brain and shows mental ability in dealing the situation.

So far over 80 per cent of the shooting was completed. BVSN Prasad is producing the film on the banner of Venkateswara Cine Chitra.

Devisri Prasad is scoring music and NTR is experimenting some different steps in the film and the dances by NTR would remain a highlight of the movie.
