Salman's 'Ready' concert..

The yet to release Salman-Asin starrer, Ready, has already been creating waves across the country owing to its thumping soundtrack. The makers of the same are looking to leave no stone unturned in promoting this highly awaited flick of theirs.

At a recent press conference, the makers of the film announced the 'Ready' concert, which is said to see a huge turnout of over 10,000 fans from across the country, all eager to see their favorite superstar Salman Khan on stage grooving to the energetic music of Ready. An initiative of T-Series and 3rd Rock Entertainment, the event is scheduled for the 2nd of June, at the Tulip Star Hotel in Mumbai's crowded Juhu.

The concert, which is aiming to gain mass hysteria, is even gearing up for an exclusive fashion show for the attending audience and media with over 40 models from across the country walking the ramp. The concert shall also see Shibani Kashyap, Trip Recipe and DJ Ramji Gulati keeping the fans on the edge of their seats with some great upbeat music. Along with Salman, co-actor Asin and music director Pritam are also said to be preparing to set the stage afire that night.

Well, we're sure this electrifying concert will do wonders for the publicity of this already anticipated film!

Preity's Adoption!

The Zinta-Amrohi will and biography controversy has sure created a buzz.

Some months ago, we had reported Preity becoming a benefactor in Amrohi's will for significant sum of assets.

For the uninitiated, here's how the history goes. In a legal suit filed by Shandar Amrohi (s/o late filmmaker Kamaal Amrohi) last year, where he placed claims against his sister Rukhsar and her son Waseem for forgery and document tampering with regard to some family property, Pretity Zinta supported Amrohi, to the extent of eventually helping him win the case. Ever since, the two have maintained a close bond, with Shandar treating Zinta like a daughter.

So much, that news actually pronounced Preity to be a formally 'adopted' daughter of the man.

However, with talks of Amrohi's biographical account - titled From Nowhere To Somewhere - coming to print, and in particular a chapter that deals mostly with the life and facts (read: inside scoops) of Preity's life, more stir has been met. It has been heard that the bubbly actress was rather upset to find out how her personal matters were going to be made public as such. Additionally, she has quashed any notions of being 'adopted' by anyone, or featuring any advantage in Amrohi's will.

So much for the always chirpy Preity Zinta, who befriends all, and bears no grudges! Then again, when has the scribe tribe not managed to get on the wrong side of the influential?!

I dated Ranbir, confirms Angela!

For the uninitiated, B-town's original Casanova Ranbir Kapoor was heard to have taken a fancy for Kingfisher Calendar model Angela Johnson some recent time ago and what followed in the aftermath was another media blowout over another Ranby linked alleged relationship. Which was, just like most others, conveniently tagged 'good friends'.

The latest public revelation from Chennai-born, Iceland raised lass Johnson over the rumors being very much true has set off the mills to churn gossip headlines once more. Says Angela, that she in fact did go out with Ranbir Kapoor, for a while, the two of them content with casual dating. In her own words, the precise bond the duo shared was just a normal guy-girl hangout.

Having her own reputation in the modeling world as quite the poser while facing the lens, Angela, upon being showcased in glam shots alongside the Kapoor scion has risen in popularity ranks; and many tongues have wagged openly in tinsel town, consequently, about her easy access to instant fame on the account.

The somewhat incredible extra bit of gossip revolves around Johnson's similar bonding with BTown's other hottie, Shahid Kapur - the lad, who is just past his second heartbreak and in lamenting transit of the same. News has it, that while Ranbir was dismising all speculations about a scene between Angela and himself before the media, the lady herself was engaging in flirtations with the other Kapur in indulgent socials. How far she succeeded at that, is not quite known.

But this new public confession from the controversy loving model about having dated Ranbir sure sets some records straight. Yet one wonders about tall claims from Ranbir over making it public if he was in love with anyone... because charms on his side, one just can't brush off candid promises even from Bollywood's exclusive playboy!

Make way for 'Dhanno'

Just two months away from her next release, Jacqueline Fernandez certainly seems to be hot property in Bollywood! But whilst the actress is currently juggling not one, but four projects, she has revealed that it wasn't too long ago she had seriously considered leaving the industry.

The Sri Lankan actress made her debut with Aladin in 2009, for which she walked away with the IIFA 2010 Best Female Debut Award. Unfortunately her 2010 offering, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, disappointed fans and critics alike, and whilst she certainly added some 'oomph' to the Housefull track, "Aapka Kya Hoga", it was a while before any further projects materialised.

The actress admitted that it was the waiting game that made it difficult for her, especially as she had no connections in the industry and was still very new. After almost a year without any offers she considered calling it quits, deciding that maybe Bollywood really wasn't for her, but was finally encouraged by close friends to stay on.

It seems to have paid of as Jackie is preparing for her summer release - Murder 2. She also seems to have impressed Sajid Khan who selected her for the cast of Housefull 2 whilst Milap Zaveri has signed the actress for two projects in 2012.

Well, it looks like Dhanno's all saddled up and ready to take over a theater near you, do catch her in all four of her upcoming releases lest she opts to gallop away from B-town once more!

Third Time's a Charm

It seems that director Farah Khan has found a close companionship with Salman Khan lately. In fact, they're so close that she even considers him to be her lucky mascot nowadays. An onus that was bagged by none other than King Khan for quite the while, if one will recall.

In the more recent past, Salman and Farah have mutually appeared on each others television shows - Bigg Boss, Dus Ka Dum, Dance India Dance, to name some.

From Salman's point of view, this has been primarily in the interest of promoting his films - Dabangg and Wanted - which incidentally have both gone on to become mega blockbusters at BO.

This time round, as Salman paid a visit to the sets of Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega again, for his upcoming film Ready, he brought home cooked dinner for everyone.

Since this is the third time that Salman is making appearance on the said show, no doubt he's hoping for the proverbial charm to work into another blockbusters in tandem.

Minissha in trouble?

Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba was reportedly detained by the custom officials at the Mumbai International Airport on Wednesday! Apparently, the actress had not declared the gold and diamond jewelery that accompanied her. When found, she claimed that the high-valued items did not belong to her. She was said to have been carrying ornaments worth over 50 Lakhs.

When questioned about her non-declaration of the jewelery found in her possession, the lass claimed that she was unaware of the procedure requiring her to declare any accompanying jewelery. Minissha, who walked the prestigious red carpet at Cannes, stated that the valuables were handed over to her by a certain jewelery brand in lieu of promotional purposes at Cannes, hence admitting that the ornaments were not her own.

The actress, who landed at the Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport at Mumbai, from her visit to the Cannes Film Festival, was said to have been questioned for a painstaking 16 hours, after which she was allowed to leave after her official statement was recorded. She is likely to be called in for a second round of interrogation in a couple of days.

Action is yet to be taken against young diva, after a verification of her statement.

Carelessness, ignorance or crime, here's hoping that Minissha can wriggle her way out of this one!

Roadtrips before marriage

The only lonely bachelor among his co-stars, Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar, in his upcoming film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Abhay Deol has been inspired to make a promise that whenever he decides to tie the knot, he'll take a month long break from everything and leave for a trip.

The promise was made to Hrithik and Farhan at the launch of the first theatrical trailer for the upcoming film. Since he is the only member of the trio who is single and free to mingle, he plans to do what all three of them do in the film. In it, his character goes out on a road trip after getting engaged, and the vicarious experience has made Abhay a fan of "bachelor trips".

So is Abhay really just professing his fancy for a whimsical extension of the traditional bachelor party, or is this a thinly veiled hint that he's soon to be hitched? We'll let you decide!

Dhak Dhak Takes Over for Dream Girl

Madhuri Dixit fans may want to hold on to their seats before reading this one! After her memorable stint in the judges panel of Sony Entertainment's popular dance show, Jhalak Dikhla Ja, this beauty queen is reportedly all set to make her comeback on the big screen as well!

Aishwarya Rai, who had almost been finalized to step into the shoes of Hema Malini in the remake of the widely loved classic Satte Pe Satta, is said to have been replaced by the dancing diva, Madhuri Dixit. Satte Pe Satta will see Madhuri starring opposite Sanjay Dutt after over a decade. The two have, together, charmed audiences in the earlier years of their careers with blockbusters such as 'Saajan' and 'Khalnayak'.

Soham Shah, who will be directing this film, is apparently extremely thrilled to have Madhuri on board. We hear Shah's first choice for this movie had always been the 90's superstar, but was apprehensive in offering her Hemaji's role given that Mads is known to be selective about giving her nod to any script. But with Madhuri's instant approval of this much anticipated film, the movie is gearing up to hit the floors soon.

We wish this film a speedy and successful trip through the production process, since its success beyond, at the B.O., needs no help at all! Welcome back Madhuri!

Hrithik to do 3 roles in Krrish 3!

Hrithik fans have already decided that Krrish 3 is going to be on their must-watch list; now they have at least two more reasons to look forward to the film. It has been revealed that the actor will be portraying not one, but all of 3 roles in the third of the superhero series directed by his dad, Rakesh Roshan.

Who exactly will we see him as? Well, Hrithik will play the father, the son, and also the grandson in the movie. While those of us who can't get enough of him consider this quite an arduous feat, the ever-dedicated Duggu considers it nothing.

Apparently, Hrithik wanted to take on even more roles in the movie, including that of the villain. But rumor has it that daddy Rakesh's first choice for villain role was Prince star, Vivek Oberoi, and as a result, he too is now part of Krrish 3. Sources claim that Rakesh didn't want Hrithik to do the villain role as he felt it would be excessive. As for the reason Vivek got the role, we hear it's because the senior Mr. Roshan is a close friend of Vivek's dad, Suresh, and he was eager to work with his son.

The filming for Krrish 3 commences at the end of this year.

Sonu bares his chest for PETA!

Sonu Sood was recently seen baring his chest in an advertisement for the popular animal rights group, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India! After Shahid Kapoor, the Dabangg villain is the newest celeb to join the bandwagon in order to promote vegetarianism.

The ad features Sonu clad in a pair of low-waisted jeans along with the tag line: 'Strong Body. Tender Heart. Go Vegetarian'.

According to sources, Sonu was heard saying he is thankful to be a part of the PETA family and that everyone should be aware of their duties towards animals. The actor, who is a hardcore vegetarian himself in real life, was also heard saying that everyone should become vegetarian to make our planet a better place.

In fact, buzz has it that while Sonu was shooting for Dabangg, even fellow actor Salman Khan had tried to make him taste some of his home cooked chicken biryani. But Sood was adamant and had refused to take the bait!

So, how does Sonu manage to maintain those six pack abs, minus any non-vegetarian food? Sonu gives the credit to following the right diet. He was heard saying if one follows the right diet, veggies can help one get their dream body.

Accidents galore

Rumor has it that the sets of Mausam are haunted, thanks to a string of spooky incidents that have recently plagued the cast of the film.

It all started with Shahid Kapoor injuring his right arm. How did it happen, you ask? While shooting at the CRPF grounds in Goregaon, it just so happened that a Ferris wheel came flying down towards him. It's not as bad as it sounds, take a deep breath! The whole Ferris wheel didn't hurl itself his way, just one of the boxes that fell apart and detached from the overall structure. Luckily for Shahid, he wasn't injured too severely and moved out of the way before his face was badly bruised.

When Pankaj Kapoor saw what had just taken place, there was no reaction from him; he couldn't believe what had happened. Shahid, however, kept his cool and assured everyone that he was fine.

After Shahid's incident, the doctor who was coming to check up on Shahid's arm had an accident with an oncoming bike. And if that wasn't enough, later in the night, two lightmen were injured when a rostrum held 70 feet above the ground gave out with them on it, resulting them with minor bruises.

The mausam on the sets of Mausam seems to be rather rough while the film is under production; we can only hope that with the amount of hype the film's already generated, this dangerous trend doesn't carry over to packed theatres upon its release!

Farah to turn Heroine?

Bollywood's ace choreographer, Farah Khan, is rumoured to have been offered a leading spot in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next, Shirin Farhad. The film, which is being claimed to become a Bela (Bhansali's sister) directorial, shall be a genteel love story of a Parsi couple.

Aged 40 now, Farah was naturally quite apprehensive about taking up this prestigious Bhansali offer, but with constant persuasion from the film makers camp, Farah is heard to have given her nod.

For the record, Bhansali had not shared the greatest rapport with Farah over the past few years. However, that prejudice aside, he thinks Khan has the right amount of Parsi quotient and a fitting natural personality as needed for his movie's female lead. Bhansali opines that Farah's smart wit and perkiness compelled him to offer her the role of 'Shirin', in this home venture.

Well, will Lady Khan, who has given the Hindi cinema some notable immortals in form of jigs and movies alike, be able to pull of a stunner in this newly thrown challenge? If the impact of the name 'Khan' has anything to do with onscreen skill, Farah is here to stay and shine!

Is Sonam apologizing?

Not too long ago, the media was ablaze when Ranbir Kapoor's ex-flames Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor dragged his name through the mud on the popular talk show, Koffee with Karan.

While the news has started to fade away, Sonam Kapoor has resurfaced on tabloid pages. Much to everyone's surprise, she is now all praises for Ranbir.

Soon after the controversial episode had aired, it was reported that Ranbir's dad, Rishi Kapoor, had taken matters into his hands. He was heard talking to Sonam's dad, Anil Kapoor, about the matter. It may be fair to guess, then, that Sonam's tune has changed because she has been pressurized to speak so. Since Sonam is trying to be the good family girl, comments like, "Ranbir is one of my best buddies," come as no surprise.

While the Kapoor girl is seems to be making amends, what are the odds that we'll hear Deepika chime in with her attempt soon?

Asin to star opposite SRK

Leaving behind the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, 'tis Asin Thottumkal who has grabbed the leading role opposite Shahrukh Khan in Sajid Nadiadwala's adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's recent hot seller, 2 States.

Seems like Asin, who previously starred in blockbuster Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan, then in London Dreams opposite Salman Khan (and Ready opposite him as well lined up); is on a spree like no one else adorning her kitty of offers with 'Khan packs'!

Notably, Asin has also bagged the role of the leading lady in Sajid Nadiadwala's Houseful 2 and now with 2 States, Asin will become the first amongst her competing contemporaries - Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor - to have worked with the three giant Khans plus Akshay Kumar.

Rumor-mills also revealed that Vidya Balan too was considered for this role, since the lead lady was wished to have been a Southern belle, but Asin finally bagged the spot.

The actress can't help but be excited to be a part of a film, which whilst co-starring SRK, is also to be Vishal Bhardwaj directorial.

Well, we have our congratulations for Asin but what we wonder is, how her two movies old co-star, active promoter, one time alleged romancer, and publicly claimed 'good-friend' Salman will take this piece of news.

Angry young man back

With Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap ready to be releasing on July 1st, the producers of the film are getting the first teaser of the film ready for the audiences. The surprise factor comes from the claims that Amitabh Bachchan's famous "angry man" image is going to be brought back with the teaser!

The marketing team will be working hard on this project because they plan on creating an extraordinary campaign for this film that will force everyone to take notice. Working together, the team is coming up with a teaser that will concentrate on Big B's "angry young man" avatar, which will then lead to him singing a line from the title song.

The print teasers that are being prepared are going to use the silhouette of Big B along with dialogues, signature styles and images from some of his most hit films such as Deewar, Agneepath, Shahenshah, and Hum. Eventually, this will all lead to the look that Amitabh will be donning in Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap. The final look was released on May 16 while the teaser will be released during the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians.

The main idea behind this campaign is to cash in on nostalgia for Big B's iconic image of past decades, since the audience hasn't seen him in such a character in a long period of time. In the film, Big B will be seen as the angry not-so-young man, who is nonetheless young at heart.
