Ragini MMS Scenes To Be Re-shot, Ragini MMS to Re-shot, Ekta Kapoor Ragini MMS to Reshoot

Ekta Kapoor wants scenes in her movie Ragini MMS re-shot.

The not-easy-to-please Ekta Kapoor saw the first cut of the movie and asked for certain scenes to be re-shot.

A source said, "Ekta loved the rushes but felt the scare factor needed to be upped."

Director Pawan Kripalani said, "It's a work in progress. Ekta has no issues with the film. The first cut is very long and we are trying to cut it down to 90 minutes."

He added, "What Ekta saw was just a rough cut devoid of sound design and visual effects. Take any great film and remove the sound and visual effects it will lose its impact."

The TV czarina plays it down as well. "Two scene effects are being re-done. It is half a day's work. Someone is spreading rumours about the film. Also, the release date remains the same, Friday, May 13."

Several scenes of Ekta's other production Shor In The City, starring her brother Tusshar Kapoor and Preeti Desai were also re-shot.

Naseeruddin Shah to play a character based on Rajinikanth in The Dirty Picture

One film that has been much talked about ever since its announcement is Ekta Kapoor's The Dirty Picture directed by Milan Luthria. The film, which is based on South siren Silk Smitha's life, has Vidya Balan essaying the lead role. Now the latest is that the makers have roped in none other than veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah to play an important role in The Dirty Picture.

Naseer saab's character is apparently based on South superstar Rajinikanth. Naseer would be seen wearing flamboyant clothes like how Rajini usually wears and will also be sporting different types of wigs. Surprisingly Naseer has not seen a single Rajinikanth film and plans to catch up on some of his hit films to get the nuances of the character bang on.

Apparently Vidya's character in the film idolises the character played by Naseer saab. This would be the second time Vidya and Naseer would be sharing screen space after the much acclaimed Ishqiya.

Besides Vidya and Naseer saab, there's strong buzz that The Dirty Picture also stars Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor in important roles.

Naseeruddin eager to play a lech in 'Dirty Picture'

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is tired of playing a saint and is excited about his role of a lech in Milan Luthria's Dirty Picture.

'I'm sick of playing a saint. A do-gooder. And with Milan at the helm, I am sure he'll extract great work from me as an entertaining lech,' said the 60-year-old in a statement. Dirty Picture is inspired by the case of Southern actress Silk Smitha, who committed suicide. Vidya Balan is playing the female lead in the movie, which is being produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Luthria said when he approached Naseer for the film, he was taken aback at the actor's first question. 'Nasser asked me, 'Am I playing a saint or a lech?'. I told him that a lech is what your character is,' said Luthria.
