Ritiesh Deshmukh & Genelia D’Souza romances in Manali

Bollywood Gossip: Bollywood Real-life couple Ritiesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza are shooting for "Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya" in Manali and are enjoying every bit of it. Says a source from the sets, ""TNLHG" is a romantic movie and the star pair is taking every opportunity to utilise the romantic moments off the sets." It's cool, rainy and windy, and the pair are making the most of the weather. Although they were very busy for the first 15 days of the shoot, they have been regularly going out for dinners and walks. Adds an insider, "The moment they had free time, they hosted a party for the cast and crew." On choosing the couple for his film, producer Kumar Taurani says, "We had Ritiesh in mind even while penning the script. When we narrated it to him, he jumped on board immediately. For the female lead, we were looking for someone chirpy and someone who would just look perfect with Ritiesh. Genelia fit the bill too. She said 'I'm in' when we approached her. The chemistry between the two is crackling.”

Bollywood Gossips: Bollywood actors may be infamous for keeping their marriage plans under the wrap, but actor-turned-producer Dia Mirza is completely candid about her relationship with Sahil Sangha, business partner and director of her first production venture. "Yes, we are dating, and I will marry him soon…may be next year itself!" says the actor.
The 29-year-old, who turned producer, joining hands with actor Zayed Khan and Sahil, to form Born Free Entertainment Pvt Ltd, plays the lead in her maiden production venture, Love Breakups Zindagi that releases on October 7. The romantic comedy that also stars Zayed, has been directed by beau Sahil, and the actor can’t hide her excitement talking about him.

"Sahil is not just a great director but a wonderful human being too. What I like best about him is his honesty and sincerity in whatever he does. He has brought magic into the film," said Dia Mirza in an interview to HT City on the sidelines of an event in Tokyo, Japan, where she was recently invited by the Japan National Tourism Organisation and Japan Airlines to promote tourism between Japan and India.

Dia and Sahil's moms happen to be good friends but it was Sahil's wonderful script that had floored the actor.

"We just loved his script and both Zayed and I didn't want to let it go. It was like…straight from the heart and in Born Free we intent to make movies that we really believe in," said the actor, adding, "I believe true creativity can happen in an environment of freedom, and that's why we zeroed on the name 'Born Free' too. In fact, during the shoot, Zayed and I sometimes fought like crazy but it was all for the sake of good cinema."

And what about Shah Rukh's reported cameo in the movie? "The film will have a lot of surprises, so just wait and watch," the actor signed off, refusing to divulge more..

Vidya Balan gets bolder

Bollywood Gossip: Bollywood beauty Vidya Balan, who plays the late Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture, is not worried about being labelled a porn star. Vidya Balan, who will be seen in an alluring and sensuous avatar Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture, says she does not fear being tagged as a "porn star".
Balan will be playing the character of the southern sex symbol Vijaylakshmi, better known as Silk Smitha, in Milan Luthria's forthcoming project. While talking to some reporters recently in Dubai, Vidya says "I think I am an actor playing a character Silk Smitha. I don't think there is a possibility of that tag being attached to me. I just hope it adds another shade to me as an actor," Balan said.

Ultimate symbol of sensuality

Silk Smitha, a small-town girl, with her dance numbers and bold performances, became the ultimate symbol of sensuality in southern Indian cinema. Film critics have often referred to her as a "soft porn" actress.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor, The Dirty Picture stars Naseeruddin Shah, Emrran Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor in pivotal roles.
The film, chronicling the journey of the yesteryear seductress and her early demise, is slated to release on Smitha's birthday on December 2.
