Armenian champions receive $20,500 from government

Armenian Government to give World Champions US $ 20,500 each

YEREVAN. - The Armenian chess heroes, who won the World Youth Team Championship in China’s Ningbo, will receive AMD 7,5 million (about US $ 20,500) each. During today’s session the Armenian Government made a decision to give AMD 7,5 million from the state budget to Armenian champions (6 players, 1 coach).



The Armenian Government will give the money from its reserve fund to Armenian sports and youth team, which will donate it to the Armenian Chess Federation (a total of AMD 45 million).
