Arshad supports Shiney Ahuja

Mumbai's fast-track court's decision of convicting Bollywood actor, Shiney Ahuja, of rape, and sentencing him to seven years of rigorous imprisonment, has not gone down well with friend and colleague Arshad Warsi.

An upset Warsi was seen expressing his grievance on his twitter account: "Murderers, terrorist n corrupt politicians are walking free n Shiney Ahuja gets 7years. Judiciary should stop targeting Actors so blatantly." ((c) Twitter) But this update of Arshad's on the social networking site has irked his followers, leading his page to be flooded with unpleasant replies. A certain follower did not deter before posting: "Nice thinking, then you should also try to rape your house maid."

Another followed suit by snapping at the actor quite blatantly: "That's preposterous! Just because he's an actor does not absolve him of such a heinous act. And shame on you for making it a political debate."

Sources say that the actor surprised at the comments, went ahead to clarify his stance: "I am NOT saying that he's right but don't forget that Kasab is still enjoying our hospitality." He even added, "My point is all criminals should be punished equally, it's not fair to make an example of an actor only because it makes news."

Well, since the Judiciary's decision is the supreme and the final one, we can only request Arshad to calm down.
