The very flamboyant and sociable Akshay Kumar decided to entertain his fans and the industry alike by throwing a frank and fun press conference for his upcoming romantic comedy, Thank You, in London.

The superstar donned the role of an 'extramarital affairs counselor' at the meet, and was seen modestly discussing relationships, marriages and infidelity issues in good humor, with the attending media.

The press conference, which was attended by the cast of 'Thank You' and young couples and singletons alike, provided an exclusive opportunity for the audience to shed light on their views on marriages and commitments in today's age with the Khiladi of Bollywood himself. Akshay went ahead to give insightful tips to maintain long lasting relationships and how to preserve the 'magic' in marriage.

The press conference turned out to be a successful venture and the first of its kind, with fans of the actor getting an opportunity to witness Akki in all his element.

'Thank You', is a rom-com which revolves around the philandering ways of men where marriages are concerned. Akshay teams up with director Anees Baazme for this movie, together the duo have previously given us the blockbuster likes of 'Singh Is King' and 'Welcome'.

And with that, another innovative promotional gimmick hits the market. Of course, Akshay seems like quite the choice to be imparting such 'love vs shaadi gyan'! Been there, done that, and preaching what he's practiced hence!

Stressed Priyanka on sets

Like most actors, Priyanka Chopra has always claimed a penchant for challenging projects, but better than most, she has shown a prowess with the likes of such too. Whether we look at her dark descent in the world of fashion in the 2008 namesake movie or her portrayal of 12 distinct characters in What's Your Raashee?, Priyanka Chopra has always carried off her performances with aplomb - whether or not they are duly acknowledged at BO.

However her current project Barfi is proving to be a tad too difficult for even the upbeat Piggy Chops to handle!

The actress has recently said that she is too stressed and nervous on the sets of the film owing the role she's required to play - that of a mentally challenged girl.

She has apparently been facing further problems with the expectations of director Anurag Basu, who is eager to redeem himself at the box office following the spectacular failure of his previous offering, Kites.

Whilst we at Bollycurry are eagerly awaiting her performance in Barfi (co-starring Ranbir Kapoor!) we hope that Priyanka recovers from her nerves and returns to the set with her trademark enthusiasm!

Murder 2 says goodbye to Bips

BollyCurry recently reported how Bipasha Basu got the chance of sizzling in another item number in Mohit Suri's upcoming movie, Murder 2. However, this opportunity has quickly become a lost cause as it went away as quick as it came.

Rumors have it that Bipasha demanded a too high of a price for this item number which caused Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt to reconsider their idea on signing her up for the song.

Ask Bips on why she aimed her fee sky high and the bong beauty states that the big amount was not only for herself; she was also taking her choreographer, designer and others into consideration. But this did not go down well with the Bhatt brothers and they decided the best option left was for them to let Bipasha go.

Having worked in multiple Bhatt films such as Raaz, Jism Gunaah and Footpath in the beginning of her career, this surely must've left Bipasha in a daze.

Sonam's Recent Flirtation with Controversy

When sweet-faced Sonam burst onto the silver screen with her debut Saawariya, it was with a determination to forward her career and avoid all talk of link-ups and controversies.

However, her recent commercial success with the likes of I Hate Luv Storys and even the sheer popularity garnered from BO's average release Aisha, seem to have eased the young lass into stardom. So much so, that she has embraced the very same controversies she had initially set upon to avoid!

For her most recent, Sonam has ruffled Bipasha Basu's feathers by declaring that her beau John Abraham is the hottest filmmaker in the industry. Whilst most of us would undoubtedly concur, one can just as well empathize with Bipasha's plight at repeated comments, ever since Sonam declared that John had a better butt than Imran not so long back in July 2010!

Whilst Bipasha may or may not be jealous of Sonam going gaga over her man, let's hope this "new" Sonam doesn't get herself into any more trouble soon.

MOHALI, India (Reuters) – India beat Pakistan by 29 runs in the second World Cup semi-final Wednesday and will take on Sri Lanka in Saturday’s final in Mumbai.

The 1983 champions posted 260-9 and then returned to bowl out their neighbours for 231 in 49.5 overs to spark jubilant celebrations at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.

Opting to bat first, India got off to a rollicking start and Sachin Tendulkar (85) got a series of let-offs as well but Wahab Riaz’s (5-46) five-wicket haul restricted the co-hosts to a rather modest total.

Pakistan got off to a decent start too but losing wickets at regular intervals denied them any significant partnerships and batsmen such as Mohammad Hafeez (43) and Asad Shafiq (30) were guilty of throwing away their wickets at the most inopportune time.

Misbah-ul-Haq (56) offered some late resistance but it was not enough in the end.

For India, Yuvraj Singh (2-57) made amends for his batting failure, while Harbhajan Singh (2-43), Ashish Nehra (2-33), Zaheer Khan (2-58) and Munaf Patel (2-40) also shone with the ball.

Actress Angelina Jolie has been immortalised in a comic book that talks about her rise to fame and life with actor and partner Brad Pitt.

The book, which is a part of the "Female Force" comic series, is written by Brent Sprecher and has illustrations by Nuno Nobre.

It will talk about Jolie's diverse range of movie roles, including her roles in "Gia" and "Girl, Interrupted", and her charity work.

"I learned a great deal about her struggles and triumphs as an actress, mother and humanitarian. Often painted as an edgy, slightly dangerous movie star, what is often not revealed about Ms. Jolie is her tireless commitment to charity work and her dedication to the plight of refugees around the world as a Goodwill Ambassador with the United Nations," aceshowbiz.com quoted Brent as saying.

The "Female Force" series was first published in 2008 to showcase strong and influential women who are shaping modern history and culture.

MOHALI: Pakistan left-arm pace bowler Wahab Riaz took four wickets, including two off successive balls, to put his side on top in the World Cup semi-final against India on Wednesday.

Riaz, who had earlier dismissed Virender Sehwag lbw after the opener had struck a frenetic 38 with nine boundaries, had Virat Kohli caught for nine then bowled India's form player Yuvraj Singh for a duck with a magnificent inswinging yorker.

He won another lbw appeal against captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (25).

India would have been in more trouble if Pakistan had not dropped Sachin Tendulkar four times, three of them off captain Shahid Afridi. Tendulkar also had an lbw decision reversed on review while a stumping appeal off the next ball was referred to the third umpire.

He was finally out for 85, caught by Afridi, 15 short of becoming the first man to score 100 international centuries.

* Sehwag received a deafening ovation when he drove the third ball of the match to the cover boundary.

He helped himself to a further three fours through an unprotected leg-side and two through the off in Umar Gul's next over followed by a further brace in the hapless paceman's third.

Riaz replaced Abdul Razzaq at the other end and was immediately successful when Sehwag played across his fifth ball and was given out lbw. 49/1 off six overs

* Tendulkar, one short of an unprecedented 100 international centuries, played two exquisite shots off Riaz, turning his wrists late to steer the ball through the leg-side for four then dipping low to carve another boundary through the covers.

With left-hander Gautam Gambhir at the crease, off-spinner Saeed Ajmal was introduced to the attack in the ninth over. 73/1 off 10 overs

* Tendulkar survived appeals off consecutive balls from Ajmal which temporarily silenced the crowd. He was given out lbw for 23 by Ian Gould but appealed against the decision and won a reprieve when the television replay showed the ball would have missed the leg-stump.

Pakistan appealed for a stumping off the next ball and Tendulkar was again reprieved when the replay showed his back foot was grounded. Tendulkar's charmed life continued when he was dropped on 27 off Afridi by Misbah-ul-Haq at mid-wicket mistiming a pull. 99/1 off 15 overs

* Pakistan's luck appeared to turn when off-spinner Mohammad Hafeez lured Gautam Gambhir (27) out of his crease and Kamran Akmal completed the stumping. He added had 68 runs from 66 balls with Tendulkar. But Tendulkar was then dropped on 45 by Pakistan's safest catcher Younus Khan in the covers off the unfortunate Afridi. Tendulkar added to the Pakistan captain's chagrin by driving Afridi over cover to bring up his half-century from 67 balls. 141/2 off 25 overs

* Riaz, brought back into the attack, immediately began to reverse swing the old ball and was rewarded with the wickets of Koli, who lobbed a catch into the covers, and Yuvraj who had averaged 113.66 previously in the tournament. 168/4 off 30 overs

* Afridi recalled Gul, whose first four overs had cost 41 runs, to see if he could emulate Riaz and reverse the ball. Tendulkar received two further lives when he was dropped by Kamran Akmal on 70, a difficult chance behind the stumps, again off Afridi. Akram's brother Umal then dropped Tendulkar on 81 off Hafeez at wide mid-wicket. Tendulkar's luck finally ran out when Afridi held a fierce drive at short-cover off Ajmal. 200/5 off 40 overs

* Dhoni struggled to get bat to ball as the Indian run rate slipped further. He tried to clip Riaz off his legs but missed a ball which was heading straight for the stumps. 221/6 off 45 overs

* Dhoni won an important toss on a hot muggy morning and had no hesitation announcing he would bat in a match which has captured the imagination of the sub-continent.

India selected pace bowler Ashish Nehra instead of off-spinner Ravichandran Aswhin while Pakistan named an unchanged team, again omitting fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar who will retire after the tournament.

With all eyes set on the ICC World Cup semi-final between India and Pakistan — being termed as “final of finals” — the PCA stadium has been turned into a fortress. As part of the three-tier multi-layered security, stadium has been put under a 2.5-km-radius of extensive barricading.

Early on Tuesday morning, endless streams of Punjab Police personnel — requisitioned from across the state — were deployed for duty in and around the stadium. With the stadium’s outer wall surrounded by metal containment barricades, channels fixed on every entry gate, movable barricades in place to regulate traffic around the venue and view cutters installed to visually segregate one area from another, the stadium seemed to be the best protected place in the city. Shahid and No Romance?!

One of B-Town's superstars Shahid Kapoor has always been loved as the "Romantic Chocolate Boy" of the industry. After the box office sensation Jab we Met, he hasn't been seen in any romantic movie, and his fans sure do miss watching him in that avatar.

Well, recent news is that Sajid Nadiawala's next movie which was supposed to be directed by Sabir Khan, Heer Ranjha, had offered Shahid to play the main lead role alongside Deepika Padukone. However, now we hear that the film may be cancelled due to some technical problems! Apparently, script for the movie wasn't finalized yet, so the movie have been postponed for now and things are in limbo, waiting to be finalized!

And this seems to work just fine for Shahid who is currently extremely busy with his dad Pankaj Kapoor's directorial Mausam. He will then be devoting his time to a Kunal Kohli film and then has an action packed film lined up! Sure seems like he has a lot on his plate at the moment!

Well unfortunately, it seems like his fans will have to wait a little longer to see him donning his romantic charm again!

Tusshar Kappor in a tiff?

Recently, there was buzz about disagreement that struck between actors Tusshar Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi on the sets of Shor In The City.

The controversy crops from some issue of one actor being promoted more than the other in the recently released posters of the movie, which is due for release on April 28th this year.

However, both Tusshar and Nikhil themselves have denied any cause of such discord. While Tusshar has clarified being utterly unaware of any problems Nikhil may have with him, if at all, the latter has claimed to have had much fun with his co-star while shooting for the film. Dwivedi in fact, has gone as far as saying that Tusshar is friend enough now, to put him before his own self if he had his way.

Controversy and all aside, we wish the film, its cast and crew the very best for their upcoming release.

Farah takes on the ramp!

Ace director and choreographer Farah Khan will be seen on the ramp this weekend.

The fashion show set up by Karan Johar and Varun Bahl is an NGO event and will not be Bollywood oriented with the exception of Lady Khan herself. The show will happen in the heart of Delhi featuring renowned names from the fashion industry instead.

Otherwise, Farah is currently busy with her next project, Joker, starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. The venture is slated to hit the silver screen by the end of this year.

While Farah looks ever warm and welcoming in her standard dress code of kurtis and chudidaars, we sure hope walking the ramp will bring out a new glamor facet to her!
