Bipasha bags a Hollywood flick!

Bipasha Basu, the Bong diva, is all set to romance Pearl Harbor star Josh Hartnett in her international debut! The upcoming movie is to be directed by Roland Joffe, whose earlier works include movies such as City of Joy, The Killing Fields, and Captivity. The movie titled Singularity is written by Ajay Jhankar and set in different time periods. Bipasha will be playing Tulaja, an Indian female warrior.

A source discloses that along with Bipasha and Abhay Deol, many Hollywood celebrities will be lending their talent to the movie as well; to name a few, Chris Pine from Star Trek fame, Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, Christopher Egan will be seen among numerous others.

The film is an epic romance about forbidden love. The backdrop of the movie spans across two time periods and continents, mainly revolve around the impossible love shared between two couples. The first star-crossed lovers consist of a British officer in colonial India and the Indian woman who he desperately loves. The second couple is a researcher and her marine biologist lover from America, who happen to be stuck in an abandoned British merchant ship with no escape. The sole hope of either couple lies in a magical ring, which has the ability to unravel time and save their lives.

Joffe, who came to India in September, has decided to shoot the major portion of the film here itself since the story is set modeled around the Marathas in 1780s.

As for Bipasha, she will be in Brisbane to start filming from the 3rd of November to the last week of December. The beauty even expressed her enthusiasm over micro-blogging website Twitter by tweeting "Very happy to let u all know that am doing my first english language film, SINGULARITY.Its rolland joffe's film opp. Josh Hartnett".

Here's wishing the dusky beauty and everyone else involved with the project the best of luck!
