Since the movie Dev.D was released, the term 'emotional atyachar' has more or less entered our social lingo. The phrase has been used as the title of a TV show and now we can see it as a title for a soon to be releasing film as well! The upcoming flick starring Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak, however, is now facing some 'emotional atyachar' of its own.

Anjaana Anjaani gets a 'new' look !
A fresh photo shoot was done with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra for the new look of the poster. A comparison of the two can be drawn from the poster images above.
Chuck plagiarism, on general parameters too we at Bolly Curry vote in favor of the second poster - greater intimacy, greater promise!
I am single, says Katrina Kaif
'I am single. But beyond that I don't think I need to give too much of details,' Katrina told reporters Tuesday at the Trident hotel, where she was named as the international brand ambassador of Etihad Airways.
Etihad Airways is the national airlines of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The actress who garnered rave reviews for her role in director Prakash Jha's political drama 'Raajneeti' said that sometime it becomes very difficult to take a personal decision and more so if it has to be taken publicly.
'Sometimes it's hard enough to take decisions, professional sometimes but mostly personal and wherever the decision that you have to take, it's very difficult to take them and if you have to make them in front of everybody, whether it's media, or the public or the world, I think that's a little bit more than what I can handle. That's why for six years, I have never commented who I am with, if I had a break up, if there is an argument,' Katrina said.
The actress said she thinks commitment changes with situation.
'If you commit to something, you must stand by. But if you commit to something and the situation changes, then perhaps the commitment also changes,' she said.

Ameesha and Maanyata: BFFs?
The friendship reportedly began when Ameesha starred in a movie with Sanjay, and has grown to such proportions that Maana was one of the few people that Ameesha called after her grandmother's demise last week.
So just how close are the two?
Close enough that Ameesha has taken on the elaborate task of planning Maana's seven-month baby shower, and has been dutifully taking care of her pregnant friend, whose hubby is not in town to attend to her delicate needs. One such need is of course food! Since Maana can't travel much due to her swollen feet, Ameesha has reportedly been getting Maana's dinner from her favourite restaurants. Maana was also lucky enough to be gifted an
One sure would like a buddy like Ameesha! Here's wishing the two cherished friends many happier times ahead.
A Comedy To Hit The Box Office
Anees Bazmee, well known writer/director famous for his many successful comedies like No Entry, Welcome and Singh is Kinng is back doing what he does best - tickling your funny bone. His latest comedic offering comes in the name of No Problem and if his past record is anything to count on, this without a doubt will be declared a winner at the box office.
After Anees's super hit success with Singh is Kinng, he had been delinquently approached by the Sikh community for a sequel to the much entertaining movie. Due to Anee's busy schedule and Vipul Shah's lack of response, Anees was uncertain about the prospect which is the very reason why he has added sardars in his upcoming movie.
If Anees' talent is nothing to go by, then the film's impressive cast ensemble is sure to seal the deal. With 17 actors and a whooping 150 junior artists working on the project, how could we not expect the flick to do well? Some biggies boasted in this movie are Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor and various others filling the roles of sardarjis.
From the promos released so far, one can already tell that the film is all set to be one of the most promising comedies to hit our screens this year.
BollyCurry wishes Anees and his movie all best!

* SRK's wax statue unveiled in New York !
The statue is Khan's third to be placed in Madame Tussauds, the previous two adding glory to the wax museums in London and Los Angeles. His most latest model will be placed on the 9th floor of the museum, giving company to Amitabh Bachchan's model which was placed in the Bollywood Zone last year.
King Khan has undoubtedly reached a milestone by having his wax statue placed in 3 of the museum's 10 branches spread all over the world. The unveiling of his statue was accompanied by the DVD release of SRK's latest hit film, My Name is Khan, which came out earlier this year. The Bollywood Axion Dance Troupe also gave a brilliant dance performance to mark this event by performing on songs from My Name is Khan and Khan's other films; including Om Shanti Om.
Shahrukh's latest statue is dressed in a classy black suite, standing astride in a relaxed posture, and carries the trademark dimpled smile, which has swooned millions of girls around the globe. What is more interesting is the simple (NOT) cost of making the statue, which amounted up to approximately $ 1,25,000 (Rs. 62,50,000).
What with SRK's great brand power in New York and a huge fan following, Madame Tussauds will surely soon be flooded with people wanting to pose with the new statue. Good luck, new addition to the wax museum in New York; and cheers to all his fans out there!
* Anjaana Anjaani first look copied !
Even if the posters do look similar, we are however, made aware of the fact that the stories differ in totality, with An Education, directed by Lone Scherfig, being the story of an intelligent high school girl,Jenny Millar (Carey Mulligan), who is about to start university for higher studies when she meets a charming, older man David Goldman (Peter Sarsgaard), who romantically sways her off her feet. Smitten with love, Jenny leaves her ambitions behind, just to be him, only to realize later that the man of her dreams had been conned and had left her for good.
Anjaana Anjaani weaves a different tale of two youths who have faced severe disappointments in the face of love and their unsuccessful careers. Fed up with the way things have turned out, they both individually decide to put their miseries to an end for good by jumping off a bridge. However, destiny has other plans for them, and thus, when they both co-incidentally end up on the same bridge at the same time, starts off yet another love story.
Another inspiration for Anjaana Anjaani, directed by Siddarth Anand, are the Hollywood box-office hits; The Girl on the Bridge (1999)and Before Sunrise (1995).
Amitabh to step into Marathi Films?
That's the spirit Vidya !
Apparently she is having severe pain in her shoulder due to a muscle injury and has been advised to go easy with her projects and instead take complete rest. But the lovely lass recently put her foot down, as she had already committed to attend the South Filmfare Awards held on August 7. Vidya took a flight to Chennai all the way to attend the Awards night!
It seems that Vidya has been suffering from this shoulder injury for quite some time now. Even while she was shooting for Rajkumar Gupta's No One Killed Jessica, she was in extreme pain, but she simply ignored it in favour of her shoots.
Vidya is currently undergoing physiotherapy and has been asked to keep away from doing any physical work which may stress her shoulder.

Karan, Co-Director...?
And while we all know about KJo's belief in SRK's lucky charm for his major ventures, it seems Shahrukh reciprocates the faith entirely!
For the latest scoop of gossip that we bring you is about Karan's role in co-directing SRK's home In fact there is more to the buzz, according to which there shall be a first in terms of Karan directing some song sequences, in addition to other segments of the movie.
Except, there happens to be the other side to the story - the denying side!
Recently SRK tweets about Karan's visit to the sets of the movie in UK. While the tweet had indicated harmless moral support from one friend to another, there are many who seem to see extra meaning to Karan's visit. Including the amount of his time spent with SRK during work schedules. One can't help but wonder about Karan's inclination to now turn circumstancial choreographer to help his dear friend!
SRK and Sinha maintain that Ra.1 is a KJo free domain! The work for this Khan production is to be attributed to those two alone, and no body else. What SRK absolutely can't and shouldn't deny is the fact that Karan and him can't stand staying apart to long - work or otherwise!
From us, its just good luck to you Mr. Khan, for Ra.1

Rumours had it that Salman had supposedly thrown all of Katrina's stuff out of his Galaxy apartment when he found out that she was in touch with John Abraham, another of his tinsel town foes, via SMS(s). Salman, it was heard, got greatly infuriated and decided he no longer wanted Katrina in his life. But all that buzz was squashed when assured their fans through a public assurance that belied any such happening. Katrina admits that she had been SMSing John, but it was all work-related in regards with the shooting and release of their common movie New York, but also maintains that she was no longer in touch with John beyond professional concerns.
One wonders then, if things will return to the good old days for the couple again?

Kareena put herself into hunting an alter lucky mascot who could launch her on a better pedestal in Hindi cinema, and that was when Saif happened. Eventually the two confessed being an item on national television, after many public denials previously. The duo is said to be formally engaged and have been going steady for a while.
Of course there was ex boyfriend Shahid, very upset about his break-up with Kareena who for herself had done much better in getting over the heartbreak.
And as far as their mutual harmony goes during the post production work of their latest release Milenge Milenge, one has little hope of a mature patch up between the two, even as cordial colleagues.

Back when Vivek was a newbie in the industry, he had made a big mistake in becoming foes with Salman. It is known that Vivek called a press conference and told them that Salman had hounded him with 41 drunks calls that were very unpleasant. And never again have they spoken to each other.
Sources also reveal that Vivek, in later cognizance of his blunder, had even tried to apologize to Salman at the Rajiv Ghandi Awards Function but Salman refused to acknowledge him. He even refused to know someone by the name of Vivek Oberoi.

And that's how somethings stand, rather precariously, in B-town. While onscreen endings in Hindi cinema are famous for their happily ever afters, off screen relationships are often on rocks.
Here's wishing for greater prevalence of harmony in Bollywood, among our many beloved stars
Priyanka and Saif all set to rock Bollywood !
Siddharth Anand who has just directed Priyanka Chopra in his upcoming movie Anjaana Anjaani, is all set to be a producer in his next venture. Having already finalized the cast with the handsome hunk Saif Ali Khan playing the male lead and the current favourite Priyanka Chopra starring opposite him, the movie is all set to be co-produced by none other than Saif himself.
As per the grapevine, PC has been given the opportunity to be seen with Saif in yet another film releasing next year!
After Siddharth's film, Priyanka has given the nod to star in Vishal Bharadwaj's next. The two have already shared a working partnership in their previous super hit, Kaminey and are currently working together in Saat Khoon Maaf. Saif, having last worked with Vishal in Omkara, will play the male lead.
Bollywood has given us many hit jodis in the past, will Priyanka and Saif 's name be added to the list?

Happy Independance Day, India!
Sonu's 'Scooter Dance'
Successful director, Farah Khan was been roped in by the Khans to choreograph the last minute item song addition going by the name 'Munni Badnaam Hui' for their upcoming home production, Dabangg, featured on the ravishing Malaika Arora Khan and actor Sonu Sood. However, the award winning choreographer found herself stuck when trying to come up with a few moves for a portion of the song.
And guess who came to save the day?
Sonu, at that time happened to recall a hilarious dance an uncle of his used to showcase on drunk-and-out party nights! It involved certain hand and foot movements that reminded Sonu of someone driving a scooter, and the team hence fondly christian the now adopted notorious dance sequence as 'the scooter dance'!
Sonu, who has been conveniently well practiced with this 'scooter dance' through the days of college, delinquently performed it for Farah. The special dance had the entire cast and crew in stitches and Farah immediately decided to incorporate the steps into the song.
If anything, we're certain this 'scooter dance' is to become the signature move for many-a-parties in times to come!
* Priyanka's Refusal to Cut Her Hair
Actors are seen undergoing makeovers, adopting newfound skills, and even acquiring new accents all the time - merely to fulfill the needs of their onscreen characters.
For Anurag Basu's upcoming film Silence, Priyanka Chopra is to enact a mentally disturbed girl who is a deaf-mute. For this portrayal, Priyanka was required to cut her hair, and was asked to comply to the need.
Piggy Chops however, refuses to chop her precious tresses!
But having put her foot down on this particular option, Priyanka wants the director to come up with an alter appearance for her character.
What surprises one is the fact that its not the first time that such a requirement was placed before the actress; and contrary to her current resistance, Priyanka has been known to experiment with her hair in movies like Love Story 2050. Unfortunately, she is doesn't seem to be half as cooperative for Basu's project.
And she has her reasons. There is the TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi and upcoming movie Don 2, to concentrate on for the while. PC believes that since Silence does not release till next year, she can manage putting off the dilemma of her character face for that movie until later.
* De-Branding John!
Take the latest release Aisha, for example, which sees Sonam Kapoor decked in gorgeous outfits from high-end, expensive brands. John, on the other hand, believes that it is possible to look equally good without spending a fortune on clothes. And he is most certainly speaking from experience - the actor is known for notoriously walking into events wearing a comfortable ensemble of jeans, t-shirts and chappals - none the known tag names!
John is now all set to release a line of comfy chappals next year and hopefully following that will be a range of the inexpensive worn look t-shirts. He firmly believes that the Indian definition of 'cool' should be influenced by comfort more than anything else, and especially not the Western hype for brand names! One ought to be, in John's opinion, proud of the dhotis and Pathani suits in traditional fabrics like khadi and silk. In his words, it is only after we are at ease in our own desi clothes, that we can be confident in our own skins.
If a trend setting icon is to be established to promote desi-fashion, John can certainly be the man! And eagerly, we await his line of products - if they promise to hold half the charm of his person!
* Ranbir's New Rockstar
This new and hot actress, who will soon make an extravagant entrance in Bollywood, goes by the beautiful name of Nargis Fakhri.
A look into Nargis…
In addition to being half Czech and half Pakistani, this pretty damsel was born and bred in New York. In 2009, Nargis happened to be featured in the infamous Kingfisher calendar alongside various other beauties. Later, she was awarded with the golden chance to strut her stuff at the Top Model house during Cycle 3. However, an unfortunate fumble during introductions to the prestigious panel made sure that the opportunity was securely kicked out the window. Oops!
Nonetheless, Nargis was quick to make amends in stating that she had no interest at all in modeling and instead merely saw it as a way to make a small and simple living for herself.
With Rockstar finally in her kitty, things have certainly taken a favorable turn for the pretty lass. However, it has not been an easy climb to her spot. Word has it that Nargis had to go through several auditions before she could prove herself to Imtiaz and compel him to make her his final decision. Still in the works, the big project has roped in Nargis to portray the role of a dancer.
All of us here at BollyCurry wish her luck for the future and hope to see her sizzle our screens soon!

Movie Review: Peepli [Live] Is A Must Watch Satire Comedy!
Peepli [Live] is the story of Natha, a poor farmer who decides to commit suicide so that the government can award his family compensation, which will save his ancestral land. A small local TV journalist finds out about Natha's upcoming suicide and publishes it in a local newspaper. With elections around the corner, the media lands up in Peepli and soon the whole issue gets blown out of proportion.
One media party threatens Natha that he must commit suicide while another says he must live. Journalists bombard the uneducated and timid Natha and follow him to no avail. Peepli becomes a lively town with so many outsiders as the media speaks to the innocent villagers about the heroic Natha. Rural society has been a piece in a chess game for long for politicians of India but Peepli Live truly shows the extent to which our politicians can go to win their elections. Television sets are gifted to Natha's family but one wonders what good is such a product for a family that needs to meet its basic survival needs first.
Perhaps the strongest and best lesson of the film comes from the omnipresent media which viciously blows everything out of proportion for higher TRPs. While providing many laughs, the film portrays the media's habit to bombard as well as exaggerate issues. Natha's death becomes a game as at one moment reporters jump back and forth between Natha dying and not dying. Does Nathu really die or not? Well we leave that for you to discover when you watch the film on screen…
From the amazingly scripted dialogues that make one laugh from the beginning to the end to the immensely talented actors that bring the village life on screen, Peepli [Live] is an excellent film that not only entertains but also teaches many lessons. From the viciousness of the politicians and media to the struggles of the poor farmers of India for basic needs of food and shelter, Peepli [Live] is a winner in bringing on to screen some very important lessons. And yes how can one forget the old-age lesson that we always hear, 'life moves on'. Life does move on and so does the media, as people's memories are short lived. Thus though Peepli becomes alive due to the issue of Nathu's suicide, once the issue is resolved the media disappears and Peepli once again becomes a forgotten village. One must question the profession of journalism, as the chase for TRPs is malicious. Like a herd of cattle following each other, media chooses to bring to screen a comical view of the open field bathrooms of the villagers instead of a more serious issue covering the death of another impoverished farmer in the village who was found dead in the midst of pot holes that he used to dig.
The folk music in the film brings the village to life and the very popular 'Mehangayee Daayan' is sure to call for whistles in theatres. Short few line songs are apt in the script and the peppy music makes the film livelier. The strong language in the film may not be suitable for young children but the diction and choice of words is apt to portray the ordinary villager's life style. Direction by Anusha Rizvi is par excellence!
The greatest pillar of the film is the team of actors, which Aamir Khan Productions has put together for Peepli Live. Each and every villager is so convincing that by the end of the film, even metro audiences will connect with the impoverished farmers. Nathu feels like someone you may know and one feels his confusion and pain. Manikpuri as Nathu has definitely done a brilliant job. Malaika Shenoy as the television reporter and Shalini Vasta as Nathu's wife are amazing. And what can one say about the bed ridden mother's character played by Farrukh Jaffer – she is truly exceptional! Naseeruddin Shah does not have much screen space though he does justice to the limited footage given to him in the film!
Overall Peepli [Live] is a must watch for audiences! A complete entertainer with some brilliant lessons, Peepli Live is sure to make a space in the hearts of audiences worldwide!

Here Comes Jr. Mr. Khan!
If you go back in time, you might recollect Aryan's short opening sequence in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, however, the film in talks now is likely to mark his official acting debut in Bollywood.

* Movie Review: Help - Horror That Needs Serious Help!
The film begins with a look into a crazy lunatic named Susan who is living in a mental asylum. Crazy drawings and her suicide set the stage of horror in the film. Next comes a jump to the ending scene in a horror film and the movie ends with Vic (Bobby Deol) and Pia (Mugdha Godse) in the audience. All is not well between the couple due to Pia's suspicion of her husband's loyalty as she feels he might be having an affair with the actress of his film. But one doesn't get to delve much into the characters' personal lives as the film jumps to Pia's father getting a heart attack and the couple flying to Mauritius.
The father survives the attack and Vic and Pia return to Pia's childhood home which is eerie. Pia's journey back into her childhood shows a twin sister, Dia, who died drowning in water. A happy family was broken into pieces with Dia's death and then later on the mother, Susan's death. Pia's father narrates the story as he remembers the happiest days of his life and claims that his wife Susan could not live with the trauma of her daughter's death. In the midst of all this, Vic and Pia sort out their personal problems due to the news of Pia's pregnancy.
But the happy days don't last long as Pia starts seeing Dia in the house at night. Squeaking doors, photo frames falling, the domesticated dog barking, and all the old-style horror film techniques instead of scaring viewers create comedy. Vic doesn't believe Pia but slowly things start changing as first Pia's friend-cum-neighbor dies and then at her funeral Vic sees Dia's ghost. Dr. Aditya Motwani (Shreyas Talpade) comes into the picture as a handicapped man who happens to be an expert in the field of spirits. Aditya's initial warning at the funeral is overlooked by Vic but after seeing Dia's ghost in Pia and almost drowning his own wife, Vic is forced to seek Aditya's advice.
Vic begins to investigate the ghost's reason for having possessed his wife and in his expedition he uncovers a tape which narrates the death of Dia. Aditya and Vic's examination leads them to believe initially that Pia may have murdered Dia. It seemed that Susan- the mother – was also already possessed. But how and why? Investigation into the hospital where Pia and Dia were born uncovers the mystery behind of the haunted spirit but unfortunately the expert Aditya dies in the fight of saving Pia from the ghost.
Overall the film just doesn't hit the mark due to the loopholes. The climax goes downhill as one is unable to understand how Pia is able to trap the ghost right in the center of the star while the plan had been of her husband's. While the grand mirrors and the destruction of the ghost are visually appealing, they can not cover up for the weak story line.
The film falls flat from the initial scenes because Bobby and Mugdha just don't look convincing on screen together as a couple. Chemistry is lacking between the two and the romance looks artificial. While romantic songs could have helped, in this situation the film doesn't entertain thoroughly also due to its music which is not only poor and painful to the ears but also forced between the story line. Some old horror film tactics as well as the unrealistic outcome of the mystery of the ghost make the film very superficial.
Speaking about the actors, Mugdha and Bobby both look terrible as well as old in the film. Mugdha has been center of media attention with the hyped bikini scene and expectations from this model turned actress are surely high after the super hit Fashion. This talented actress falls flat in the first half of the film as she is expressionless in many of her scenes. Her acting though improves in the second half and one must applaud her for having taken the liberty to appear on screen without make up in her scenes in the hospital. Yet, she looks pathetically terrible in the first half of the film as one wonders what happened to this beautiful model.
Bobby Deol comes with a class of his own on screen and though the actor may not have had a row of hits, he is known for the variety of roles he has portrayed on screen. Yet, in this film Bobby is disappointing. His character just doesn't convince audiences and nor is he able to create a connection with the viewer. A forced attempt to play the character is clearly evident. Shreyas being such a talented actor is wasted though he does justice to the few scenes he has in the film. Mrs. Gladrags Sophia Handa playing Pia's friend-cum-neighbor doesn't impress at all. Jyoti Dogra playing Susan – Mughda's mother – does a decent job in the film and proves her acting caliber well with the limited screen space given.
Overall Help falls flat as a horror film as audiences may find themselves laughing more than fearing. The film most likely will not attract audiences to the theaters and is a disappointment in the horror film genre where we have seen amazing movies like Bhoot and 13B. A film that had much potential with so much talent on board, Help just doesn't do justice to the talent of its lead actors. Help surely needs help from the audiences to pull it through!
